Occasioned by the resurgence of unemployment in the country, especially among the youth, the Promotion of Human Aid and Community Development in Africa (PHACODA) has revealed its partnership with the Federal Government of Nigeria in an effort to stem the scourge .
Recall that in May this year, PHACODA, a non-profit organization, unveiled its intention to train 2.5 million Nigerians through the acquisition of vocational skills to empower young people in the 36 states of the federation with a professional training starting with 25 of the 44 courses available.
As part of the plan’s follow-up, the organization, through its director, Mr. Chidiomimi Angels, disclosed on Thursday that it had entered into a partnership with the federal government under the umbrella of the Ministry of Labor and ‘Use.
Angel highlighted the goal of PHACODA, which he said is to develop a strategic platform where unemployment will be reduced and young people can have sustainable livelihoods through skills acquisition.
He pointed out; “We equip young people with practical skills to succeed; skills that develop their financial intelligence, entrepreneurial qualities, innovative/creative thinking potential, leadership ability, self-confidence and personal motivation, using a unique and carefully designed curriculum.
“Training experience benefits include theory, practice and trade, after which you will be assessed and certified by the Federal Ministry of Labor and Employment with a diploma certification, this certificate is recognized by the International Labor Organization (ILO), which means you can get jobs overseas, with the Nigerian government, military, and direct entry into all Nigerian universities.
Emphasizing the importance of the training, Angel said that with the help of the organization’s potential partners after the training, participants will be given a starter kit to begin their professional journey, while urging young people to join a career revolution open to all young Nigerians. between 15 and 35 years old.
Angel also disclosed that upon completion of the program, interns will be assessed and certified by the Federal Department of Labor and Employment.
