Satio and the Institut Pasteur de Dakar form a strategic partnership on research, development, manufacturing and distribution of next-generation health technologies

BOSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Satio, Inc., a privately-held medical device company developing innovative consumer-focused diagnostic and drug delivery solutions, today announced a strategic partnership agreement with Institut Pasteur de Dakar.

By combining SatioRxMT intradermal patches and technologies from the Institut Pasteur in Dakar, the partnership aims to accelerate clinical development and access to vaccine patches to fight epidemics, as well as diagnostic patches for blood sampling, genetic testing and pathogen surveillance.

Both entities also collaborate with INTACT, an innovative aseptic packaging company. The collaboration will enable access to vaccination by exploring alternatives to vials such as plastic bags for vaccines, and replacing traditional needles with SatioRxMT intradermal patches and INTACT aseptic fluid transfer technology. Tripartite collaboration will focus on epidemics with pandemic potential.
