ISLAMABAD/CHONGQING: Institute for Peace and Diplomacy Studies (IPDS) and ASIN ASEAN Group TS Chongqing have signed a memorandum of understanding to establish skills development and training institutions in underdeveloped regions from Pakistan.
AATS President and Legal Representative Fei Cui and IPDS Director Muhammad Asif Noor signed the agreement on behalf of the organizations.
The MoU aims to promote mutual understanding and friendship between Pakistan and China by establishing joint training centers and institutions to help alleviate poverty and enhance the country’s economic development.
The two organizations aim to develop cooperation in the fields of vocational education and training with a particular focus on creating a skilled workforce ready for the future.
The purpose of this collaboration is also to assist and benefit communities and poverty alleviation through various training and skills development courses, expert trainings, study tours and knowledge exchanges. students based on the sharing of experiences and knowledge.
A joint working relationship has been established through this Memorandum of Understanding for long-term collaborations with the aim of exchanging international knowledge and enhancing cooperation in vocational education, training, internships and employment assistance for students.
As a result of this agreement, along with the creation of the vocational training centers, new and innovative business training, especially e-commerce, will be defined and executed. Graduates from these centers will be more likely to find employment and do business to help alleviate poverty in Pakistan. Along with training, student exchange programs and study tours will be organized to build and strengthen China-Pakistan relations.
The Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies (IPDS) is a Pakistani institute based in Islamabad. It was established in June 2014 and is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit think-tank and action think tank on research, advocacy and public diplomacy. IPDS is envisioned to be a higher education institution in the future.
