Endowment Fund to Support Students and Research Development, Rector Says — Articles — The Guardian Nigeria News – Nigeria and World News

The Rector of Yaba College of Technology, Mr. Obafemi Omokungbe, said the N50b College Endowment Fund aims to provide support to students and boost research programs.

Speaking at the unveiling of the endowment fund’s logo, Omokungbe said its inaugural program will be held on September 15, 2022 at Eko Hotels and Suites, under the chairmanship of former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

He said the endowment project was conceived in his administration’s desire to address the challenges of infrastructural deficit as well as obsolete and non-functional equipment facing the college.

“The unveiling of the logo is the first phase of the launch of the endowment fund. We want the world to know what we are doing through this platform,” he said.

Omokungbe appealed to well-meaning Nigerians to support the project and partner with the college, investing in the endowment fund.

SIFAX Group Managing Director Dr. Taiwo Afolabi commended the school for making efforts to revive the 75-year-old institution through the launch of an endowment fund.

Represented by Group Executive Director, Mr. Bode Ojeniyi, the SIFAX boss urged everyone to board the college development train.
