ABU DHABI, 8th September, 2022 (WAM) — The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and Rabdan Academy have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance cooperation in scientific research, exchange experiences and information and organize specialized capacity development programs in the field of security. , Security, Defence, Civil Protection and Crisis Management (SSDEC).
The signing ceremony took place at the main campus of Rabdan Academy in Abu Dhabi, where the MoU was signed by Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Chief Executive Officer of GCAA, and James Morse, President of Rabdan Academy, in the presence of a number of senior management. of both parties.
The initiative supports the expansion of the strategic partnership between the Rabdan Academy and the GCAA to include research, development, knowledge and exchange of technologies and services in line with the best international standards, which contributes to strengthening the sector. of civil aviation and to achieve the best desired results in the areas of safety and security.
Under the MoU, both parties seek to provide technical and consultancy services to empower and develop GCAA staff by implementing a number of specialized capacity development programs in risk assessment and threats and the preparation of effective response plans in an integrated education and training framework that includes lectures, discussions, simulation exercises and practical application scenarios.
