Zain Bahrain signs MoU with Nasser Vocational Training Center to facilitate training, research and innovation

  • The objective of the agreement is for the parties to cooperate and engage in training, research and innovation activities that will further the achievement of each party’s respective mandates while contributing to the economic growth of Bahrain.

Manama: Zain Bahrain, the Kingdom’s leading mobile broadband network operator, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nasser Vocational Training Center (NVTC) to exchange knowledge and enhance research and innovation opportunities for its employees while simultaneously contributing to Bahrain’s economic growth.

The Nasser Vocational Training Center is an entity that provides technical education and vocational training programs to Bahraini nationals and, under the MoU, Zain Bahrain employees will have access to the center’s facilities for research, innovation and AI projects, as well as joint research programs to boost entrepreneurship. The collaboration also establishes a practical framework for cooperation between the two organizations to advance their roles in developing entrepreneurial skills and professionalism in various fields of activity.

The MoU was signed by Mohammed Zainalabedin, Managing Director of Zain Bahrain, Sheikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al Khalifa, Director of Corporate Communications and Investor Relations of Zain Bahrain, and Dr. Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Executive Director of the Nasser Vocational Training Center, as well as other senior staff. representatives of the two organizations present. This collaboration is part of Zain Bahrain’s efforts to develop and contribute to the growth of its employees, empower Bahraini women by encouraging and facilitating cooperation between the two entities. Zain Bahrain undertakes several programs to foster creativity and innovation among its employees and is renowned for delivering new and innovative initiatives that will raise the profile of the local market, enhance employee skills and align with the values ​​of Bahrain Vision 2030 .

During the signing ceremony, Sheikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al Khalifa, Director of Communications and Investor Relations at Zain Bahrain, said: “The MoU affirms the importance of collaboration and will further strengthen research capacity. from Zain Bahrain. Dr. Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Executive Director of the Nasser Vocational Training Center said, “The partnership with Zain Bahrain has come at a crucial time with the intention of strengthening the position of the Nasser Vocational Training Center with pioneering work in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) in the Kingdom. The center intends to establish a promising future for young people by partnering with Zain Bahrain, under the leadership of His Royal Highness, Chairman of the Board, Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to build similar bridges of cooperation with large companies in the Kingdom. The center aims to inspire, educate and develop the skills and abilities of young people in the Kingdom by providing them with an appropriate environment for scientific research and contemporary training with the latest scientific discoveries in the fields of artificial intelligence and cloud computing, thus preparing them. for the Bahraini labor market.
