Tantri Trailers Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Vocational Training Authority to Grow Talent Pool – The Island

Recognizing the need to recruit qualified, educated and diverse talent for the business, Sri Lanka’s leading trailer manufacturer and exporter, Tantri Trailers (Private) Limited, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Authority Vocational Training Institute of Sri Lanka (VTASL) to hire students for welding courses at VTASL.

With the MoU in place, Tantri Trailers will now recruit qualified and unqualified individuals, who receive their VTASL training, to provide these new hires with a 360° learning experience. With a strong and consistent commitment to always upholding the highest quality standards, continuously innovating and implementing modern technology in its factories and manufacturing processes, Tantri Trailers is the ideal choice not only for trailers but also for heavy engineering equipment. The company also undertook the reconstruction of 200 railway carriages for Sri Lanka Railways recently and the project was successfully completed, further enhancing the trust and reputation that Tantri Trailers holds within the industry.

Despite various constraints due to current global market conditions, Tantri Trailers looks to the future with renewed ambition, anticipating collaboration with the Vocational Training Authority for the training and recruitment of employees island-wide, while providing technical employment opportunities to unemployed young people in Sri Lanka.
