Innovation Center at IIT Delhi partners with US-based NSF for cobotics and AI research and development

NEW DELHI: The I-Hub Foundation for Cobotics (IHFC) Technology Innovation Center at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has collaborated with the National Science Foundation (NSF) in the United States for research and development in the fields cobotics, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning. According to a statement from IIT Delhi, the Department of Science and Technology (DST) of the Union Ministry of Science and Technology, with the assistance of the Indian Embassy in Washington, enabled this partnership where IIT Delhi IHFC was selected for this collaboration. DST also funds IHFC as part of the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS).

IIT Delhi and NSF have close ties with researchers in cobotics, robotics, AI and ML, the institute claims. The NSF and IHFC have released details regarding additional funding for research and major projects.

“I-Hub Foundation for Cobotics (IHFC), the TIH of IIT Delhi, according to a latest development, will provide additional INR 50,00,000 for funding Cobotics projects for research and development. The IHFC will fund researchers working in the field of medical simulations, drone technology and applications, healthcare robotics, rehabilitation robotics, human-robot interactions, intelligent sensing and communications secure, and Industry 4.0 and beyond,” said IHFC Project Manager SK Saha. , who is also a professor at IIT Delhi.
